Jalsa, in the Indian language of Hindi, means Celebration, Festival or Fun. And as a jalapeno-based salsa, the name “Jalsa” was a perfect fit!
Our History
Jalsa came about two decades ago, when the spiciest salsa available in stores was not spicy enough to satisfy our dad and his taste for flavorful Indian food with serious ZING! As they say, “necessity is the mother of invention”, so, mom began experimenting at home. Over time, the recipe was perfected, and friends and family alike began asking for some that they could take home. After hearing over and over that “you really need to sell this stuff”, we decided that the time was finally right, and Jalsa was born!
