Here are some recipes that you might enjoy: 


Jalsa Shredded Chicken

Two boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz. Jalsa
1 tablespoon sour cream

Mix Jalsa and sour cream together

Place chicken and Jalsa/sour cream mix in a slow cooker for 4 hours, until chicken is fully cooked and tender

Remove chicken from slow cooker, allow to cool and shred by hand


Jalsa Veggie Quiche

9″ frozen whole wheat pie shell
5 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons Jalsa
3 scallions chopped

1 small head of broccoli, chopped into small pieces
1 medium tomato, seeded and diced
1/2 teaspoon salt
Dash of black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Beat eggs and milk, mix in cheese, Jalsa, veggies, salt and pepper

Pour into 9″ frozen whole wheat pie shell

Drizzle top with Jalsa

Bake for 45-50 minutes at 350 degrees


Masoor Daal (Red Lentil) Soup

1 cup red lentils
5 cups water
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon Jalsa
½ teaspoon salt
Lemon Juice to taste if needed 

Boil lentils uncovered for approx 30 min, or until cooked. *

Add turmeric powder, Jalsa and salt

Simmer another 10 minutes

Add lemon juice and serve 

* Depending on consistency enjoyed, you can use a hand blender to puree the lentils, for a smoother texture


Healthy Jalsa Queso!

5 oz. shredded Cheddar Cheese
8 oz.  Cream Cheese
½ cup Milk
½ cup Jalsa
½ tomato
1-2 scallions
½ medium sized bell pepper

Combine the cream cheese, shredded cheese, and milk in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat.  Cook and stir until melted and creamy.  Once melted, add Jalsa and vegetables, stir. Serve hot and enjoy!


Marinade for Jalsa Fajitas

1/4 cup fresh lime juice
1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Jalsa
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
2 shakes garlic powder

Whisk ingredients together in small bowl. Pour marinade over cut paneer/chicken/tofu and vegetables desired (peppers, onions, cauliflower,etc. all cut into strips), leave for at least 1 hours. Grill protein and vegetables, serve in warm tortilla with Cilantro Jalsa Dressing


Cilantro Jalsa Dressing

1/2 cup yogurt
1/8 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Jalsa
1/2 bunch cilantro

Blend ingredients in blender until smooth. This dressing is great on Jalsa Fajitas, a Southwest flavored salad, or as a dip for crudite.


Michelada for One…Perfect for a lazy day by the pool!!

1/4 cup tomato juice
1 tablespoon JALSA
1/8 teaspoon soy sauce
Juice of 1/4 lime, extra lime for garnish
1 bottle Mexican beer (I like Dos Equis or Sol)
Use salt or salt/red pepper on rim

Salt rim of beer mug; add ingredients in order, sip & relax!
