1 cup red lentils
5 cups water
½ teaspoon turmeric powder
1 tablespoon Jalsa
½ teaspoon salt
Lemon Juice to taste if needed
Boil lentils uncovered for approx 30 min, or until cooked. *
Add turmeric powder, Jalsa and salt
Simmer another 10 minutes
Add lemon juice and serve
* Depending on consistency enjoyed, you can use a hand blender to puree the lentils, for a smoother texture
